A microphone is connected through an amplifier, and the signal is split going in to a speaker and a microcontroller. The microcontroller is Arduino based, and is controlling a servo motor, which is positioned based on the level of the incoming audio signal. The servo motor is controlling an arm, which has the microphone attached at the end. With a louder incoming audio signal, the microphone is moved further away from the microphone. And with a lower level of sound, the microphone is brought down to the speaker element, thus causing an audio feeback loop. That will elevate the incoming audio signal, and the microphone is moved away from the speaker element again.
